Emanuel Driggus (Portuguese: Emanuel Rodriges; fl. 1645–1685) was an enslaved Atlantic Creole in the mid-seventeenth century in the Colony of Virginia. He later achieved freedom and land ownership, and founded one of the prolific free Black households on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. The name Driggus/Drighouse is a corruption of the Portuguese name Rodrigues. The Driggers families in the United States descend from Driggus.
