Biography
Earnest Stanley O'Neal (born October 7, 1951) is an American business executive and director on corporate boards. He was chief executive officer of Merrill Lynch from 2002 to 2007 and its chairman from 2003 to 2007, having joined the firm in 1986. He was the first African-American chief executive of a major Wall Street securities firm.
