Source catalog description
This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.
Unbound monthly reports of operations, April 1866–November 1868, are arranged chronologically. Most of these tabular reports give the number of freedmen at work, under contract, or apprenticed, and the number of outrages committed in each subdistrict of Kentucky. Some of the reports also give the number of arrests, the number of rations and clothing issued, the number of claims forwarded and collected, and the number of marriage certificates issued.
