This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.
Digital image scanned from a 35mm black and white negative of an unidentified model wearing jeweler Art Smith’s Galaxy necklace. Taken near the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts during the 1974 annual summer session, the model is captured from her bare shoulders up. She looks directly into the camera. Behind her is a body of water with a large rock surface on the right. The necklace has multiple short, curved pieces holding small metal spheres.
