Black-and-white silver gelatin photographic print of artist Joyce J. Scott posing in a tree near the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts during the 1974 annual summer session. She looks directly into the camera. Scott appears to be sitting on a tree trunk, her proper right arm leaning upright against another branch. Her proper left arm is out of view. Scott wears a patterned headdress and a patterned garment over a dark color long-sleeved shirt. Trees are in the background. There are no inscriptions on the front or back of the photograph.
