Black-and-white silver gelatin photographic print of ceramicist and sculptor Winnie Owens-Hart working on a pot while sitting on a deck of the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts during the 1974 annual summer session. Owens-Hart sits on the floor of the deck, her proper right ankle crossed over her proper left ankle, and her back against the outer wall of a building. Wearing dark color pants and a patterned shirt, Ownes-Hart holds the clay piece near her face with her proper left hand while her right hand holding a clay tool as she works on the pot. On her proper left thigh is a pottery rib and to her proper left, laying on top of a towel, are various clay tools. There are no inscriptions on the front or back of the photograph.
