Black-and-white silver gelatin photographic print of Carolyn Cummings modeling the Ellington necklace by jeweler Art Smith. Taken outside near the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts during the 1974 annual summer session, Cumming is topless, captured from the lower half of her face to her waist with head turned slightly to her proper left. The necklace, named after Ruth Ellington, sister of jazz musician Duke Ellington, is comprised of three flat, abstract shaped elements, each with three bezel set stones and sits around Cumming’s neck and bare chest. There are no inscriptions on the front or back of the photograph.
