A tintype by Rashod Taylor depicting a man, Nathan Taylor, in front of an American flag. Taylor wears a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and is turned slightly towards the proper left side of the image, his head tilted downwards. Although much of the image is in shadow, his proper left hand can be seen placed flat on the right side of his chest. The American flag hangs in the background with the canton of stars in the upper right corner and the stripes vertical. Along the bottom of the verso is a handwritten inscription in black marker reading [The Present, 2018 1/1] with the photographer's signature [Rashod Taylor].
