This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.

A wooden panel raiser plane. In relief on plane toe is [CE*CHELOR / LIVING*IN / WRENTHAM]. Plane shows evidence of old dents, abrasions, and small chip losses, but it has a dark stain disguising the damage from past use. There is a crack near the heel of the stock next to the handle base. A second crack is on the side of the wedge on the stock.
