A screen print titled “Yes We Did!" by Shepard Fairey, celebrating the historic presidential electoral victory by Barack Obama in 2008. It was made in partnership with the organization, MoveOn.org. The poster uses the same color palette as Fairey’s famous “Hope” of red, beige, blue, and dark blue. The poster has three borders, from out to in they are beige, red, then a thick blue border decorated with beige lines At the top center of the poster against a blue banner and in white text is the phrase [YES WE DID]. Under the banner is the Barack Obama image popularized by Fairey’s “Hope” poster: a headshot of Obama from the chest up wearing a suit with a red tie. Obama’s proper left side of the face and background are red and the proper right side of his face is highlighted in white and shadowed with blue, the same color as the background.
