A mimeograph reproduction of Head by Roy DeCarava for the Committee for the Negro in the Arts, Art Workshop Folio. Printed in black ink on white paper, it is a reproduction of a charcoal drawing depicting a close-up of a man’s face. The man’s face takes up most of the sheet of paper and cuts off just below the top of the forehead and above the chin. The man has a serious expression on his face. His face is elongated and narrow with heavy arched eyebrows; a large, wide nose; and thick lips. He also has a furrowed brow and deep lines that run across his forehead and on either side of his mouth and cheeks. The artist signature and date, [DECARAVA / ‘52] is written in the bottom left corner. The verso is blank.
