A color linocut in orange, green, brown, purple, red, yellow, and black depicting Orpheus and Eurydice. Orpheus appears in dark orange, seated between an orange patch and a small blue stream amid a green field. He holds a guitar and is turning to look over his shoulder at Eurydice, who appears standing, nude, in a lighter orange. Behind Eurydice are tall hedges in multiple shades of green changing to orange towards the right side of the print. Within the hedges are two orange archways. Beyond the hedges in the distance are swathes of purple and light green, with a red triangular shape in the center. The title of the print [Eurydice Ascends, Orpheus Looks Back 2] is written in pencil on the left corner underneath the image and it is signed on the right [James L. Wells].
