A mixed media collage composition featuring a photomechanically printed black-and-white image of a seated woman against a red background adhered to the center of a deckle-edged beige paper. Shown from the waist up, she wears a round-necked short sleeve tee shirt in a light color. Both her hands are placed together under her chin and her elbows are propped up in front of her. Swirls of red watercolor paint rise from the woman's head and shoulders. The work is signed and dated in graphite in the bottom right corner: [Lorna Simpson 2017].
