Source catalog description

This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.

A digital image (PNG file) titled "1980's Detroit Light Rail Concept." The digital image is an enhanced photograph of a hand-sketched drawing. The image is looking down a city street, with buildings lining both sides, but no cars are visible. The road and sidewalk seem almost indistinguishable, except for a narrow white strip which separates them. The elevated light rail runs along the right side of the image, with part of the light rail vehicle visible in the image's top right corner. In the distance, an enclosed pedestrian bridge runs across the main street. In the image's bottom left corner, three individuals can be seen standing on the sidewalk, beside a streetlight.
