A color photograph titled “Kharmony, LA Pride, Los Angeles, CA 2020,” by Stephanie Mei-Ling. The photograph, taken at the All Black Lives Matter protest in Los Angeles on June 14, 2020, depicts protestor Kharmony Fortune. Fortune is centrally depicted and is shown from the waist up. She is facing the viewer with her arms are held akimbo. She is wearing turquoise blue bottoms and a white, cropped tank top with the text [PRIDE] printed across the chest in large, rainbow striped letters. She is also wearing a large, wire wrapped, green stone pendant around her neck, a pair of yellow mirrored sunglasses tucked into her waistband, and a protective facemask over the lower half of her face. The face mask is heavily beaded with diagonal, rainbow stripes made from stitched seed beads. Each color stripe is divided by a thin black stripe of seed beads.
