Source catalog description

This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.

A signed artbook by Hugo Canuto printed in color on paper with 32 pages. The front cover depicts a single warrior, wearing presumably head gear with horns, gold embellishment around the face, and presumably fur on the outer edge. The warrior, in a forward leaning offensive stance, is wearing a single shoulder armor on their right shoulder and is holding a shield while the left arm is holding a sword. They are wearing a fur-like skirt with matching wrist cuffs. The skirt is tied together with a large, gold-colored belt buckle. Their left leg is forward with a skull knee pad on their left knee. The warrior, with yellow fire behind them and buildings on the right view, is running towards their enemies, as six weapons are spread out on the bottom of the cover pointed at the warrior.
