Source catalog description

This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.

An offset lithograph print with an abstract design in yellow, pink, white, and black. The print has faint blue grid lines partially visible beneath the mottled yellow and pink background. There is a repeating pattern of identical small, bright pink circles overlaid with another grid of larger, black ovals. At bottom center is a large, horizontal oval with a thick outside ring shaded in with pink striations. Beneath the pink are faint blue lines, resembling ruled notebook paper. The print goes to the edge of the sheet, which has a rough cut bottom edge. There are handwritten inscriptions in graphite along the bottom edge: [26/100] at left, [“Modus”] at center, and the artist’s signature [Adger W Cowans – 1995 -] at right.
