A black and white gelatin photograph of two faces captured up close against a black background, light reflecting on their faces around the cheeks. To the left a woman's face is shown in profile to the camera, eyes closed. At right and center, a man's face looks directly at the camera, the left side in shadow. On the verso are two separate inscriptions, one in black ink reading [love / can be black] and a second in black permanent marker reading [2 Head / she lesbian / he gay]. The artist's signature [Hugh Bell] is also on the verso in blue ink.
