This is the 22nd issue of BLK Magazine published September 1990. The front cover features a black and white photograph of Audre Lorde from the chest up, with lighting on her left side, creating a shadow over her right side. In the upper left corner, [BLK] is printed in bold, white, uppercase letters within a red rectangular box. The L and K are partially obscured by the photograph of Lorde. Above the text box in white, uppercase, smaller letters reads [THE NATIONAL BLACK LESBIAN AND GAY NEWS MAGAZINE] fitting perfectly across the length of the textbox. Below the textbox and margined to the left is white text that reads [Vol. 2 No. 9 / Whole No. 22 / September 1990]. The headline in white text reads [Audre Lorde] with red text reading [ON EVERYTHING / FROM BLACK GERMANS / TO 2 LIVE CREW].
