Source catalog description

This description refers to material held by Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visual details below describe the original material.

A pair of rose gold printed pumps with rhinestones. Each shoe exterior is composed of one panel of beige synthetic satin striped fabric that has an all over woven rose pattern. The panel is seamed to itself at the center back of the shoe and the same fabric covers the Louis heel. It’s likely adhered into place. The toe of each shoe is embellished with thirteen clear plastic rhinestones in metal settings and the rhinestones are punched through the center of a rose on the woven fabric. Adhered to the heel breast is a panel of dark-brown paper-based material. Gold vinyl leather lines the topline and ivory synthetic fabric lines the interior of each shoe. A panel of tan synthetic suede lines the interior counter, which is machine stitched into place – this stitching is visible on the outside of the shoe.
